Equipped with a 4K Data FIFO, the Daqp-208 can achieve full speed data acquisition under Windows. It also has a 2048 entry Scan FIFO which supports full speed random order channel scanning and gain selection. Compared with other manufacturers' cards providing smaller FIFOs or no FIFOs, the Daqp-208 significantly reduces CPU overhead.

The Daqp-208 has a 16-bit timer/counter with auto-reload and readout latch that provides independent timing for the analog output channels, and operates with internal or external clock source and gate controls. The counter/timer can be used to count external TTL events at a rate of up to 5MHz. The card also features a 24-bit pacer clock (programmable by a divisor of 8 or a prescaler of 64) that can be used with an external clock source. With the 5MHz internal clock source, the pacer clock can generate sampling rates precise from .01 S/sec to 100 kS/sec. The Daqp-208 also has 8 TTL compatible digital I/O channels, each of which can be used for control or monitoring.
